Wake County-led Initiative Helps Prevent Homelessness

In October 2019, Wake County’s Housing and Community Revitalization Department launched Wake Prevent!, a new initiative that aims to help low-income families on the verge of homelessness.

The program, which offers rental assistance and case management to those who qualify, is referral-based through specified access sites and is a response to the ever-increasing need for affordable housing solutions across Wake County.
